Yet ANOTHER No Spark Thread
So I'd though I'd post and just make sure.
We threw an Edelbrock TPI system on the car today. Get everything back together, take it apart because the wrong gaskets caused a HUGE vacuum leak, and put it together yet again. Go to crank, and there is absolutley no spark. It's the coil not giving off any spark. Put a new ignition module on, same thing. Brand new MSD 6A and BlasterGM coil. I decided to check the "reference" wire off of the dist. and got absolutely nothing while cranking. Now, I'm not sure whether it's the dist. or ECU that puts out a signal through that wire, but I tested either way lol. Didn't think to check for timing advance while cranking though. But anyways, it should only be either the pick-up coil or the ECU, right? And hopefully the pick-up, because the $200 for an ECU could go towards a new throttle body. Any suggestions?

Well, thanks anyways. We got it working. Something went screwy with the MSD, so it's back to being wired stock. Time to go find another one I guess.
