Dual Fan wiring question

I just converted from Single to Dual fans. I bridged the two required connectors from the single connector. Someone told me after I did it I was going to melt that section of the harness and the fan switch. Is this true? If so, what do I need to do to prevent it? PN's would be great, diagram will be fantastic.

TIA.

i dont think it will melt, my wifes grand prix has two fans and uses the same size wire as the one on my firebird.

as long as you have a fuse(or the stock fuseable link)in place in between the power source and the fans there is no way for it to draw too much current.

if you have a fuse and start blowing them then you can wire it with a relay and fuse to divide the current.

It will melt, the stock fan was designed to run one fan since it has one relay. Adding a second fan to the same wiring and relay will overload it quickly, especially the relay.

Ok, any websites that cover this? I dont want my car to melt.

BTW, I hate wiring with all my heart and soul. Everytime I do it, something messes up.
