problem with headlights

After driving with my brights on for a while they will start to go on and of. like I am flashing them. If i turn on the low beams they work fine.

The healight switch is thermally protected. It will attempt to turn off the high beams when the wires get too hot (when there's too much power being drawn). I know, I have the same problem... But then that's because I have 100Watt bulbs. Is your headlight system stock ?
