Cruise Control Delete
Cruise Control Delete
Well, my cruise control on my 1982 Camaro isn't wanted/used/needed :-)
As far as removing it, the process seems straight forward except for the speedo cables. Before tearing into the dash etc, can the lower cable be routed around and conneted to the gauge, or will I need to get a new cable? If I need a new cable, does anyone have an appropriate part number or is this going to be a bone-yard hunt? Thanks!

Just go to your local major part store chain and ask for a speedo cable for an 87 or so camaro*. Autozone had on in stock for a 76 suburban w/cruise that I used to have (roughly $14), I almost bet they'd have one for a camaro.
(*note most any camaro/bird above 84 had a VSS operated cruise unit instead of the crappy speedo cable driven unit)
*edit.. I'll even go one step further... here is straight from the autozone (near me as taken from www.autozone.com )
PIONEER CA-3001 $9.97
TBI, TPI, MPFI & LG4, all the same cable.
