Fuel Pump Voltage regulation...
I simply want to install a switch that will take the voltage at the fuel pump from 12V to about 3V to slow it down and make it quieter, make it last longer too.
I've got one in my other car, and it works great, but i dont remember how my friend hooked it up and used those resistors...
So what have i got to do? its a 6 PSI carter pump for my carb, so if PSI drops to like 3 or 2 thats fine, ill be using it like this on the highway most likelly....

3volts isent going to be enough to pump i wouldent suggest dropping the voltage under 9 but personally would just get a quiter pump up front and quit f-ing around you will forget and end up going lean and thats hard on the enging
just my .02

well 3v IS enough for my carter fuel pump to maintain 3-4 PSI to my holley while i cruise down the highway and around town. I have a 12V switch I use to apply 12V when i want to really run it so i get 6 PSI. But ive only got 3v the rest of the time.
Its setup like this already, but I dont know how. I want to make my own so i can rip out all the electronics in the car and re-wire most of whats broken. I dont want to destroy this part of it though...
