I am trying figure out why some of my guages are messed up. First my tach, when I start the car is goes straight up all the way to redline, the car is idleing fine but the tach just goes all the way up. second, my gas guage does almost the same thing and when the car if off it slowly goes back to empty once its started it goes all the way to the top passed the full mark. All the other guages seem to work fine I am just getting trouble from these to.

 

sometimes if the cluster is not fully seated.youll get a similar problem.make sure the two nuts at the bottom of the cluster in the warning lamp pockets are tight & try pushing the cluster to see if it moves in.you will have to remove the black cover to try this though.
