How often should one replace their Ignition Coil? I read in a mag somewhere a while back, GM recommended every 30,000miles for optimum performance.... though some people NEVER change them.

Any opinions?

Ive never changed mine unless it went bad or i should say i thought it went bad. Turned out to be the dist. pick up coil that gave my car a no start prob. Coil as far as i know was the same one from 86 and at the time my car had 150,000 miles on it. I still have that coil as a spare just in case.
