car runs like crap

ok, im assuming this is an electrical problem, so here goes, ....car will run FINE, all day long, until i shut it off, and crank it again, after tha it runs ROUGH as hell and just dies.....once again, ..itll fire right u and run fine if the car is cold.....but after its hot, and i start it again, ..sputter sputter .....glug....dies....any clue anyone??

Im not an expert, but Ill venture a guess that the plugs are either fouled or else in the wrong temperature range. pull a few and look for eposits or glazing.

plugs are new, wires, dist cap, rotor, cail, all bought within the past week

Man......this sounds EXACTLY like a bad HEI ignition module. It's located in the distributor. Take off the cap and rotor, and there will be a metal cover with 2 screws holding it on. Take those off and there is the module. Unplug it and replace it.

They are FAMOUS for failing only when HOT. Eventually they go out all the way.

I'd try that first IMHO, you can score one for pretty cheap.

Do a search for "bad and ignition and module" and read, you'll think they are talking about your car

ive replaced the ignitio nmodule twice already, and no this started like a week or two after the cam install
