How do you install cruise cntrl lever?

I just bought a cruise control lever and I need to put a new one in. How in the he** do I go about doing this? Do I need any special tools or anything?

86 Trans Am, 5.0 L, 305 ci, 4bbl, True Dual Exhaust.

Turn Signal lever??

I assume your talking about the turn signal lever. The turn signal lever just pops out, although i forget how exactly you remove it, I think you just pull but search for an exact answer. Then you have to unplug the wire from under the stearing column and bring it up, then run the new wire from the lever down and pop the lever back in.

It just snaps in, but tie a piece of string to the old wiring and pull it through and use the string to pull the new wire down.
