Digital dash (88gta) lights stay on after ignition off

Some how power is still getting to the dash even though the key is out. The tach, speedo, and oil pressure gauge is still on. They are not on fully, but only very dimly lit. It doesnt happen all the time and after a while it will eventually go out. Any ideas on where to look first?

this might be stupid, but is there any source of light reflecting on them? Mine look like they are kinda on when light hits it certain ways, call me Captain Obvious though lol....

No, its not a reflection. I wish it was, I know its getting a very small amount of power because I can actually see the tack light bouncing around. However, I think I traced it to the HVAC controls...

My 89 RS had the same problem before my gauge lights went out. The previous owner of my car was a moron and had no business with a Camaro, but aside from that the problem was that she had left exposed wires from the dash out were they could touch each other.

Anyways one night i was in there getting ready to tape up this problem and get my gauges back on, and I actually found to wires that would light the dash and console. So after doing that I cut power to the car, but the gauges were still on.

So if I were you first make sure no wires are just laying around and make sure that it is all done properly, if you aren't electrical savvy I would have a mechanic or someone experienced in electronics tell you what's connected improperly.
