Everyone with H4 lights and wired in relays, come in please!!!

I just wired in my relay to my hibeam circut so my lights would run the hole time without flickering and shuting off. I seemed to got it wired all up and it works great they dont fliker or shut off. BUT the factory wires i knoticed were getting really warm and the wires i put in are getting pretty warm too almost too hot... its makeing me concered. Is there any chance those wires will cause a fire or get too hot??? I got the proper relay and fuse and its hooked up all right i bubble cheacked. Anyone else knowticed how warm the power wire and wire going to the lights gets???
Thanks
Jeff

exactly what power wire did you run off the headlight wire? you use that as the switching wire and the main power wire should be a constant hot battery source that can handle some power since H4s need alot more of it.

yes thats what i did........heres a breakdown of whats getting hot going into or comeing out of the relay.

[norm temp]- wire from car (switched factory) going into relay
[norm temp]- ground for relay
[hot to warm]- wire going to headlights from relay
[hot to warm]- wire going from batt. to relay
[hot to warm]- relay itself

I feel the wire is definetly hot and noticable after having the highs on for atleast a few good mins. Does anyone feel heat coming from there wires or relay???

well seeing as how its pulling a decent amount of current throuh it its going to get a little warm but it shouldnt be getting so hot you cant touch it or hot enough to melt itself down.
