Computer Chips: eBay versus the Big Boys

1992 Camaro RS 305 TBI convertible

Question 1:

Are the "home grown" computer chips for performance enhancements okay to use? OR should I just play it safe and stick with an established manufacturer and pay the higher prices?

Question 2:

Are these chips easy to install? Where do they go exactly?

Question 3:

Are these chips even worth my time and money, ie, do they REALLY work??

Thank you,

Steve

Unless the chip is made for your EXACT combo, it's going to be garbage.

You'd get better results with a tornado fuel saver than a "custom" chip from someone who knows nothing about your mods.
