Headlight doors don't open

It's an '86. All three relays are working properly but there is no current to terminal A on either actuator relay -- hence, no power to either motor on the "open" circuit.

It's the red and white fusible link wires that run to fusible links E and D (according to the schematic). Where do these wires go? Where are these fusible links located?

If you jumper a fuse 12VDC battery source to the relays, do the doors operate?

My schematics shoe a "C" and "D" fusible link, but regardless, the links should be in the battery positive cable connection from the starter. There is a single wire connector near the firewall at the right rear of the engine with a red wire - that's one of the links. Inspect the connector as well - they are not the best design.

I finally took the time to trace these two red & white wires down to the source of the problem. They are routed along the driver's side in a harness that runs along the frame rail. I had checked this harness before but only found a wide gauge red wire along with some others.

This time, I pulled the wires out of the plastic tubing and found the fusible link wires. They were about six inches to a foot behind the battery. The red & white wires were crimped to the pink fusible link wires. The two fusible links were crimped to the wide red wire. I have twelve volts at the red wire but none at the other side of the fusible links. I've never seen this before.

I just wonder what caused them to blow.
