Maybe the admins might want to delete my post in the 'General Engine' forum for I accidently posted that in there instead of here.

I need help with the EST wiring, its messed up somewhere causing a code 42...

Below is a picture of some kind of wiring diagram. I need to know what this 'timing connector' is and what it does. Its located at 'ECM' pin D5



Anybody has an idea?

It is a single pin connector used to disable spark advance during base timing adjustment. You simply unplug it, set base timing and then reconnect it. I think it is the tan/wht wire, and it is generally located in the harness in front of the heater/blower box.

Thanks for that.
It couldn't be that connector, could it.

I'm measuring through all cables related to ignition module and all that... Not easy if I don't know what to look for
