Hello, I have a 91 z28 convertible. I need help with my toneau release button between my power windows. I have no idea how to trouble shoot this button. When you press it nothing works. I would to get this button working again, the emergency cables are getting a bit old, lol. I appreciate any help you can give.

take the side covers off the rear, and see if you get power to the 'noid wire when you press the switch...

a common thing to happen is the wires running under the carpet short out and the cover wont pop.. it just goes to ground...


my wires were bad under there, so i just ran new ones and its all set.... i also moved the switch to the side of the cover like the 92s have, and put a trunk release where the old cover pop was....


in anycase, see if you are getting power back there or not... if you are, then its the noid, if you arnt, try testing the wires one by one and see if they short.
