dual electric fan control (different, trust me)
I've got an '88 TPI setup I'm going to be installing in my truck.
I have the later LT1 dual fans that I will also eventually be using.
I don't want manual control, thats why I am going with fuel injection.
Anyways, I know that there is an AC switch (head pressure? Is that right?) in the secondary fan control. What I'm curious if anyone knows, is if it would be possible to use a temp switch for the secondary fan, instead of the AC pressure switch?
I'm assuming that since both are switches, I could just change the wiring connector, and use a coolant switch rated around 220* instead of the AC switch. I'm going to have the primary fan come on around 210* since the truck will be running at 195* ideally.
Anyone have any input on this idea? I'm trying to keep the wiring as basic (stock) and uncut as possible, but the fan leads/power wires were one of the casualties when I bought it, and I don't run AC, so those two "missing" give me some other problems and leeway.

heres what I did with my dual fans, had a bung aluminum welded on the thermostat housing and and ran the coolant temp sender there, then put a fan sender in each head one for 210 on 195 off, the second one is for temps higher on at 230 off at 217, I pulled two fan harnesses from chevy luminas pretty easy to do and easy to wire up as well, so far so good car never gets hot, to wire the harness up just put battery power to it, ignition feed, the plug the temp senders in and plug the motors in and your set to go, don't try and hard wire dual fans to a ignition feed, been there and done that with very bad electrical problems, just two much amp draw for the ignition circuit
