85mph to 120mph electric speedo swap

I've read several different posts concerning the electric speedo swap but i'm still confused on the issue. I have an 87 T/A LG4 but with a 350 motor. I had gotten a 120 MPH speedo out of a junk yard today that is exactly like my gage clusters except the MPH difference. This is an electric setup. Will there be a problem putting the 120mph speedo concerning it's accuracy ??? Is this just a simple cluster swap or is there something else that I need to do to get it to read right ?? I read someone mentioning something about some kind of sending unit.....but is this related to the electric speedo ??? Appreciate any help !!! Thanks.

If your 85mph spdo is electric then the 120 will swap right in. A 140 mph will also. Are the other guages( oil psi, temp, ect) in the same location in the clusters? I changed over from cable driven to electric and it dosent matter if I plug in a 120mph or 140mph spdo. I would think your 85mph is the same. Where are you in MA?
