hatch motor died, then awoke...
I came out of school around 230, since it's warm out I open my door and pop the hatch to vent some hot air out quicker. When I shut the hatch the motor didn't pull it down, I poped it a few more times but it wouldn't pull down. I drove home, took a #2, bitched a little, then drove to work, all the while the hatch knocking up and down since it wasn't pulled down by the motor. I go into work and take one last look at my hatch sitting an inch up since it wasn't pulled down and I bitched some more (I just spend my entire last saturday fixing the nice 3 inch crack that appeared in my radiator, thnx for using plastic GM aholes).
Well I come out of work 2 hours later, and wow, my hatch has been pulled down. The motor has worked flawlessly so I'm guessing it has less to do with the motor going bad then a poor electrical connection somewhere. What could be going on? Right now I'm in the "don't pop it, just never use the hatch" frame of mind because if the motor fails to work next time I pop it, my hatch is gonna leak when it rains, and since I've already spent 1000$ in the past month on parts for my 350, and another 1000$ going in the next month or so to get the swap done by end of july, I dont' have 100$ for a new hatch motor sitting around. So apparently the plastic gear or whatever is in that motor didn't break, any idea what electrical connections I could check to see if something is amiss?
