Fuel Gage Reads When Everything Is Off!!??

Engine: 360 SBC 4Bolt / Bowtie Heads
Transmission: T5 NWC Manual
Axle/Gears: Torsen T2 / 3.23
Fuel Gage Reads When Everything Is Off!!??
Hi Guys,
Bit of wierd one this... I've owned this car for 3 years and never noticed this before... With every thing off , I mean the ignition is off and in LOCK, the fuel gage is still reading! I'ts always been accurate and still is from what I can tell. Is this normal? Am I just being paranoid or has anyone else noticed this? Car is an 86 TransAm LG4 Manual. Thanks...
