Any Tips on Installing Electric Hatch Realease

I was wondering if anybody could give me a few tips on installing an electric hatch release in my 86 Trans Am. I have located the switch but it does not seem that GM added the additional wires for the switch as I had hoped, any help appreciated, Thanks.

Try to get the 2 or 3 plug harness for behind the dash. 2 if you have just defrost, 3 if you have defrost and wiper or defrost and gain button. That will make things a lot easier. Then look under the center console for a empty spot for a relay. If it isnt there then all you have to do is splice into the black/gray wire coming from the switch wiring on the 2 or 3 plug harness.
Easy to do. Hardest part would be running the wire from the back to the front. I put one into my '85 TA and I used parts from a '86 TA.

Let me know if you need more help.
