Where to start?

Bought IROC two months ago, went on vacation for 10 days came back to a dead car. Couldn't jump it with my 4-cyl although it tried to turn over. After a couple of attempts it finally took jumping it with a 6-cyl. Drove it for about an hour, parked it. Came back four hours later and it wouldn't start. Found out battery (Wal-Mart Never Start) was bad so replaced it (AC-Delco.) Now its getting plenty of juice but not turning over, clicking or anything. Previous owner said it has a new alternator, and it looks new.

As you can tell I am not much of a mechanic but want to do most of my own work. Do I start with the starter or look elsewhere?

Thanks

check your starter, smaller purple wire from ign switch(start position),larger wire from battery. if you have power on both when cranking and it still won't spin over, it's time for a new starter

Yeah... it does in fact sound like you're starter bro.

But if by chance you're new battery goes 'dead' over night, then you might want to inspect for a short somewhere. Something might be draining the battery even while the car is off.... this of course, if you're starter is not the culprit!
