Ok I pulled off my dash pad and the piece of plastic that covers the gauges and in order to do that I pulled the headlight switch out. I was putting everything back and realized the switch no longer locks in so I can't turn my head lights on. I didn't give it any force to pull it out it just kinda slid out. Is this fixable or will I need a new one? If so whats the part # thanks.

if i were you, i would just treat yourself to a new (probaly) $20 switch. not sure on the part #, but go to GM if you can. most of those switches are between $15-30.

You didn't say what car you have. I replaced my 88 iroc headlight switch last week. I got it online from this vendor:
