power locks are shot
my best friend has a 91 RS and one day he said his power locks and his hatch release button just stopped working...Any ideas on what could be wrong? maybe a blown fuse?

formula4speed - you definitely have a short to ground in the accesory circuit. The door lock switches are on this accesory circuit which explains why they aren't working. Does the fuse only blow when you try to use the door locks?? If so, trace the wiring from the door lock switches and look for craked wires. Also check the door lock relay behind the driver's side kick panel. A popular spot for pinched wires is in the area of the rubber tube that the wires pass through from the door into the body.
good luck.
83 Camaro - Your interior lights should be on that accesory circuit as well (as long all years are similar) but because your headlights are going as well which are on a different circuit, I would start by looking at the headlight/interior light switch on the dash as this is a common point between the two circuits. Follow the headlight wires back from the firewall as well as I had short along that line once that knocked out the headlights.
good luck.
