I need help...... I was trying to diagnose a problem on my 89 camaro TBI, by using a ground wire to access the memory bank or what not, but like an idiot i started it the car, instead of the on position. Now the engine will turn over, but the carb. isn't being fed fuel. I poured some gas directly in the carb, which allowed it to run for a brief 3 secs. When i turn the key to the on position now, the SECURITY light flashes on, then back off, but no Service engine soon light, does this mean that i shorted something out, or is it just the security locking me out????

 

try jumping the aldl again and see if you get a code 12 flash, check the fuse for the ecm as well. might have let the smoke out of the ecm. if so welcome to the club just has it happen to me this past weekend. now aqll I get it fire coming back through the throttle bodies.
