alternator upgrade work with Paxton S/C?
I was considering doing the alternator upgrade like the one on sethirdgen.org's site, http://sethirdgen.org/cs144.htm . I was wondering if this would work with a Paxton balldrive supercharger, has anyone done it? Since I've spent plenty on the car, figure I might as well spend a little more and get a good alternator...I'm just worried if it'll fit or not. Thanks ahead of time!

I did not know any one wanted to use that big old thing? why did it not fit right? my brotherinlaw got his setup from a caprice and used that alt. till the alt. went bad then he switched to the smaller lighter one that came with our cars. and got rid of the stupid bracket. looks tons better without it. but, everything firt fine.

I want to use a bigger alternator because every thirdgen I've ever owned has come with a small 105 amp unit. They suck. At least with a 140 amp unit I dont have to worry about using the A/C in traffic while it's raining with lights on(common thing in FL), and stuff like that. More available power so my electrical system works better too. I worked at the Chevy dealership here for a little while, and developed a habit of using AC Delco parts (except Dexcool, that sucks too). T've always noticed that the alternators always seem to work better and the sensors are more accurate than parts store cheapies, and since I still get discounts, I get them for the same price if not less. It's more about functionality than appearance.
I dunno if it fits or not though. Before I order it and put down the cash, I'd like to get a better idea if possible if it'll work or not...
