Ignition Module Wires

Ok, here's the situation...

I have an '89 IROC, 305 TPI, and last night it just decided not to start. Fuel pressure is good, we replaced the ignition coil, rotor, cap, and ignition module.

However, when we replaced the ignition module, there are 2 wires, green and yellow I do believe, that plug into 2 prongs, one labeled "P" and the other labeled "N".

Now there was an orange connector of some sorts that the prongs were in and that connector would plug into the ignition module. But the connector was pretty much melted and broke/fell apart. And stupid retarded me didn't keep track of which one went to "P" and which one went to "N". So I guessed and just threw the wires back on (don't remember which one I put where...), and the car still wouldn't start.

So before I go out there and take that damn cap off again, I was wondering if anyone knew which wire goes to "P" and which goes to "N". And would plugging them in without the plastic connector case around them still make it screw up and not start?

Thanks in advance.
