I have an 86 sport coupe with the cluster from an IROC (245 speedo etc) During the day the guages work fine, but at night when I turn the headlights on, the Tach, oil pressure, volt guages all turn off ,and the right blinker light stays on, (all the guages on the right side) but if I turn the dimmer switch all the way down they come back on. Also during the day if I turn the right blinker on all of the guages stop working then come back on as the blinker blinks. I have taken the cluster out but have no found anything ovious. Does anyone have any idea of what might be the problem?

Thanks in advance

You'll need to remove the cluster again and check all the PC traces for breaks in the copper lines.
You can carefully solder a jumper wire across the break.

thats what I looked for when I had it out, but there were no ovious breaks. I forget to say in my last post, that sometimes when I turn the lights on they will all work for 15 minutes sometimes? and then they will go dead almost like when they get hot.

Anymore ideas?

I just fixed this exact problem on my car last night. It was a small hairline crack on one of the copper leads under the laminant, making it almost impossible to see. I fount it using the continuance feature on my meter, but you could probably do the same thing using a test light and a 9 volt battery if you don't have a meter. I soldered it up and it works perfect now.
