Pillar Mounted Dual Gauge Pod Wire Routing
1992 Camaro RS convertible
305 TBI
I have a pillar mounted dual gauge pod with two (duh) Autometer white face mechanical gauges (H2O Temp & Vacuum). Once the pod is mounted on the pillar, what is the best way to route the wiring and tubing through the dash and ultimately through the firewall?
I want this to be a clean install and not look like a hack job, but it looks tight through the dash at that point where the pillar meets the dash pad, and after that i do not see any good ways to route anything through the firewall.
Any pointers, directions, diagrams, encouragement, etc. will be extremely welcome.
Thanks as always!!

There are plenty of places on the firewall to drill holes through to run the wires and piping. Also i'm pretty sure once you remove the A-pillar you will have room to run what needs to be run.
I have the dual guage pillar pod in my car and I just drilled 2 holes through the pillar for the wires to go through and down the pillar, behind the driver side kick panel. To keep it all neat and tidy, I ran the wires through the driver side firewall connector. There are several un-used holes in the connector to run wires through, just use a stiff wire from the engine compartment to run through the un-used holes to clean out the black sealing putty, then push your new wire through there and up to your guages. This beats drilling holes in the firewall and makes it look factory.
