Ut ohh....

I'll try and make this short....

Passenger window started rolling up slower and slower. Then one day, I pushed the window switch only half way down, and the passenger window flew up like it use to, wasnt slow. Yet if I pushed it down all the way, it would go slow.

Now my window wont roll up no matter what I do. All it does is click.

Is my motor gone? Or the switch totally bad?

Thx

Hurray, some more $ down the tube for something that is not going to make me faster

I doubt I'll be able to put it in myself either

Also, does anyone know how to get to the switch? How does that plate come off under it?

Those buttons pop out. You should be able to do the motor yourself.

congrats...i had to replace my pass. side motor a few months ago. what a b*tch that was. u have to take 3 rivets out...well, i only had 2 sticking thru the sheetmetal...the 3rd one was hidden by the sheetmetal. what a pain it was to find that. and it was a b*tch (again) to put it in. you have to have woman's hands (no offense ladies ). glad it all worked out for you.

If you have to do it again, here's a trick. If you can get to the plug end of the motor unbend the tabs that hold the motor brushes and armature in. It's basically an end housing. Get a new motor and take it apart the same way, the new motor will have a decent brush holder, usually the old one is toast and just replace the innards. Saves trying to drill out those huge rivets and 90% of the time it's only the brushes that go anyway.
