Reverse light switch wiring question

Reverse light switch wiring question
I have a problem, the person that owned my car(1984 t/a, 5 speed) before me decided for who knows what reason to cut the wire for the reverse light switch about 2 inches away from the switch.....
Now i cant find the other end that he cut from
does anyone here know the route of the wires or maybe has a pic of the underside of their car that might show how the wire is routed
please help i cant get it passed inspection without the reverse lights
