overhead console wiring

how do i disconnect the overhead console? i went to remove the headliner, and i couldn't figure out how to disconnect the wiring to my overhead console. are there supposed to be some kind of connectors you can just disconnect? with mine, it looks like my only option would be to cut the wires. is this right?

also, if that is the case, and i cut the wires, is there some kind of connector that i could install so in the future, i would just have to disconnect rather than cutting the wires again?

You could crimp new connectors on the ends of the wires you cut, so next time you do it the wires just slide apart with a little force.

Drop the console so that you can see the top side. There's a small connector and a ground wire.
