New harness time!
Hey guys, I had a dumbass attack last year when I switched to carb. I hacked the original MAF harness, cause I wanted a clean engine bay. Well I'm going back to fuel injection now. I am purchasing a built 355 with a stealth ram set up for MAP. It comes with a Ed Wright dyno tuned chip, so I am going with speed density. I have read the posts on the conversion. My question is this: since I have to replace the harness, should I get a MAP harness, or should I get a MAF harness and repin it? If I should get a MAP harness, what cars can this harness come out of that will fit my 89 Iroc? And lastly, how hard of a job is replacing the entire harness? Thanks for all the input guys!

You need a MAP harness and a MAP computer. I think 90-92 are MAP, but I could be mistaken. Replacing the harness isn't all that hard. All you have to do is disconnect the sensors from the engine, drop the passenger side fender, pull the old harness out, and run the new harness, hook it all up, and then put the car back together. Pretty basic

I actually haven't decided what I'm going to do yet. I'm looking at buying a complete 355 StealthRam setup for speed density. But for the money I know I could build a carbed motor that I know how to tune. The SR motor made 380 rwhp, but only went 12.8@109. Should be way faster to me. Decisions, decisions. I've finally got the money to throw at my car, but don't know what to do. By the way, the dumbass attack was butchering my harness, not switching to carb. My car had a super ram on it when I got it, and I wouldn't use one If someone gave me one! Thanks!
