seedometer quit? can it be fixed?
i have a 92 Z28. I did some tests with a multimeter, and it looks like the signal to my speedo is good, so i think the speedo quit. it just sat for awhile, then it pegged its self all the way to the right.
am i able to just replace the head, or do i now need a cluster. GM just told me i need a cluster and that i cant just get a head. is that true?
what are my options now?

i have a 1992 RS and my speedo died on me too. i replaced the VSS (vechile speed sensor) located on the tranny...(driver side, rear of the tranny). you will see a little connector in there. i replaced that and my speedo works again. i dunno if this relates to you...but good luck

thanks. i think the vss is fine. we used a multimeter, and according to it there is a signal to the speedo, so i think it is the speedo.
