My 91 firebird has driving lights(factory). When I turn on just the parking lights to run them only, the headlights pop up. They don't come on they just pop up. This has recently started happening and I have changed the switch with the same results. Anyone ever had this problem? and yes, I did a search.

I too have a 91 Firebird having this problem. It actually began at the same time my driver side headlight started grinding. I know how to fix the grinding, but I am not sure what is causing the headlights to popup when I turn on the parking lights.

Anyone know if this problem could be related to the stripped headlight gear?

Also I would like to get the aftermark brass gears but can only find them for a 4th gen. Anyone make them for a 3rd gen.
