P.N. for relay on 82-84 T/A's that works the hood scoop flapper
I just got the ram-air piece for my TBI formula (with the same hood as 82-84 t/a's). The piece came with the whole unit which bolts to the hood, plus the sylinoid. The sylinoid has a ground and a orange wire with a black stripe coming off of it. I was looking at a wiring diagram and it appears there is a RELAY which the orange wire plugs into. This relay has 3 other wires coming out of it, 1 goes to ecm...etc. What I want to know is the p.n. for the relay so I can get this ram air door working properly. Thanks

just connect it to a relay to remain on with ACC.
or just rig it to any vaccum controled relay to open at part throttle or full throttle.
be sure to remove the air silencer if your air cleaner has one (stainless mesh screens)

I wouldn't set it up so that relay is activated all the time. They burn out too easy. A vacuum switch for full out throttle would be OK. Not sure where to get one though. I just have my solenoid hooked to a switch inside to activate at will.
