i have been going nuts trying to get my temp gauge to work.
i have a 83 camaro with a 350 engine.
i replaced the sending unit yesterday> that did not fix the problem.
then i took of the plastic cover and started playing with the temp needle thinking it might be stuck. its not, when the car is on if i move it it flings all the way to the other side in the middle when i let go.
is there some sort of ground wire that could have come off or something???is it just that one wire??? any ideas on how to fix this or what is wrong???
oh and i have tryed cleaning the lil clip that connects to the sending unit>nothing.

i am freaked out driveing my car not knowing the temp, any ideas or help would be geat! thanks

Try removing the wire from the sender, what does the guage do? Now ground the wire to the block somewhere, does the guage move? If neither of those things make the guage move then you probably have a dead guage.
