tech is on crack! help

k here is my problem when i turn my head lights on the rpm and bat gauge stops working> i dont no about my temp gauge because i still did not get that working yet. and when i put on my signals my rpm and bat gauge bounce with the ticking.
what the heck is wrong here??? oh ya and while my head lights are on my right turn light ALWAYS stay on>drives me crazy.
HELP.

first thing i would do is check all the grounds.

k u are talking to a guys who knows nothing about this stuff. that is what i was think but were are the ground wires? i got a 83 z28 if that helps

Check all of your outside lights, check that each turnsignal light blinks, this is usually the cause of a turn indicator coming on when the lights are on.

chances are that one of the pins that the gauge cluster plugs into is bent down. I had the exact same problem on a friend's car, and it turned out that one of the pins in the right-hand plugs was bent. The tach and a couple other gauges worked fine until he put the headlights on, then it would whig out.
