Ok, I thought my car's timing had been screwed with, but then I checked it and it's probably more perfect than I could have gotten it. So my question is, can I disconnect the same wire that I did to check the timing and still drive the car, at least as far as up the little hill into my garage? The only check engine code I get is for the EST and it's running so bad now that I can't even get it back into the garage. Do I run the risk of ruining something else if I run it with that wire disconnected?

I think you'll be fine driving it a little bit with the est wire disconnected. I forgot to reconnect it once after i checked timing and i got an ses light. I just reconnected it and it went away in a few seconds.
