Attention LG4 Owners, Electric Choke Question....
Needed to verify, and the Chilton Book always seems to answer every question except mine!!!
Anyway, just converted from TPI to Carb, and everything is hooked back up to accomodate for the Carb. the only thing I'm having trouble hooking up is the electric choke.... and I'd rather use the stock harness as opposed to finding some other 12 volt source (trying to make it look as stock as possible).
After checking the entire harness, the ONLY connector that might possibly be for the electric choke.... is an unused terminal in my Oil Pressure gauge wire.
The Oil Pressure Gauge wire, when running into the harness, has a connector with three wire terminal fittings. On my TPI, both the 'outer' terminals are used (and the middle one is empty). Which is basically my question;
Can anyone tell me if their LG4's electric choke wire runs into the main harness with the oil pressure gauge wire, and if so.... is it the 'inner' terminal of the connector?
Thanks....

Stock configuration has a light blue wire at the choke connection on the carb. It runs inside to the 'convenience center' above the drivers right leg, and is powered through a relay similar to, but not the same, the horn relay.
I used the dash harness from an 86 V6 MPFI 'bird when I was building my 89 Formula to accomodate my LG4, and the harness didn't have any of the wires needed for the choke relay, so I had to add them. I used the underhood harness from my 84 Z28 which originally was home to the LG4, so that harness already had the proper choke wire.
I'm not positive, but I think the choke should work fine with power from a switched source off the fuse panel from an IGN slot. Maybe someone else can chime in to confirm or deny this...

By any chance, just before the blue wire from the electric choke runs through the firewall (as it makes it's way into the thick wire loom behind the distributor).... do you know if it joins or shares the same connector and routing as the oil pressure gauge wire?
I'm going to check if the unused wire terminal in that connector leads to the convenience center right now. Thank you, as this is definitely going to narrow it down....

It runs into the same connector on the firewall, if that's what you're referring to, along with the starter wire, coil feed wire, etc.
The other bundle of wires next to it operate the lights, horn, and brake warning light.

That was definitely it. After crimping a new terminal, then feeding it through (along with some new wire) the connector , it works perfectly.
Thanks again Pete!!!
