My car has the big bulky HEI distributor and i would like to go to a smaller unit. The thing is that the distributor doesn't have a vacume advance..its controlled by the computer. Its an 87 Trans am by the way...why it has the big one and not the little one i don't know. Does MSD or anybody make a small drop in with remote coil that will still work with the factory computer?

I don't think the advance works !!!!!

 

GMPP, MSD and Accel all make a small cap HEI compatable with computer control.
