quick question on lighted fan switch
hey guys, I'm thinking of installing a manual lighted fan switch. I read the tech article and all it said was that the wiring would be different because it is a grounded circuit.
HOWEVER, I'm not trying to have the switch light up when the fan comes on. I'm just trying to have the switch light up when my head lights are on. Therefore, could I just tap the lighted switch into a 12V source (and leave the rest of the wiring as they normally would be for a fan switch)? thanks!

yes, with the right switch
there will be 3 terminals on the switch, 1 goes to ground and the bulb inside, #2 goes to the fans ground wire, #3 would be your lights power.
