alt problem....

For some reason my alt isn't charging my battery. Now...it's wired correctly in the engine bay, but I'm thinking maybe somewhere in the fuse box a wire isn't right (we did some reworking). Did a brown wire going to the fuse box have anything to do with it?

Right now what I'm thinking is that some sort of relay/sensor made sure that the alt didn't overcharge the battery, and that if I cut that wire it doesn't charge as a safety precaution.

Any ideas? Cause I know the alt is good, but we messed with the wiring, and now its working. In actuality, I was not present when the wiring was redone. It's a 1 wire alt, it shouldn't be too complicated.

Ok, maybe I'm just retarded (which I would believe), but the website has links for VIN F, VIN H, and VIN G. Now my car is a V8 car so it's one of those 3, which digit of my vin is that for? Cause my vin has 2 Fs, 1 G, and 1 H.....heh....

The eighth digit of the VIN on your car is the engine digit: Mine is "S", meaning I have an LB8 MFI V6:
xxxxxxxSxxxxxxxxx in this example.
