door locks twitching!?
Ok, I have had this problem a few times before, when I first got the camaro in late January of this year. This is the first time it has happened this winter so far, it's in the mid 40's outside, I think.
I turn the car on, and the door locks start twitching on and off, on and off. When I shut the car off, then keep twitching. I'm not sure how long they twitch for, and there isn't really anything I can do to stop them.
I have a feeling that it has something to do with the cold, as tonight (2:30 AM) it feels the coldest it has been this winter, and this is the first time this winter the locks have done this.
Electric locks, BTW
Any one else experienced this? what should I do?

check to see if one of the switches isn't stuck in the panel it that's not it then unplug the doorlock relay could be a bad switch or relay then look for broken wires somewhere possibly in the door boots(rubber part between door and cowl where the wires come thru.)

We don't ever use the door locks by hand, I have an alarm. (they twitched before the alarm as well)
I havn't driven through water laterly, I live in Phoenix. But I have driven through a bit of water a while back, but nothing major.
where is the switch relay? Can I just unplug them and clean them out? or do they need to be replaced?
Thanks a ton!

the relay should be in the drivers kick panel you can unplugged it but then your door locks on your alarm will not work either. should try to replace the relay.

The Kick panel is the plastic panel next to your left foot when your sitting in your drivers seat. It's held in by three screws. Sometimes on carpeted ones it's hard to see the two screws on the side of it but they're there.
Also check to make sure the screw for the relay backet is tight and there is a good connection there. The relay gets its ground form that screw.

coupld only happen when its cold out because the little metal contacts in the relay have gotten closer together due to the contracting metal.

ahh, so that is possible? I wasn't sure if that could be it or not.
But anyway, thanks everyone, I'll replace that relay, but I'm not sure if it will get cold enough to test it again :-)

ok, I'm back from christmas vacation, and I finally got a chance to yank out the door lock relay, and I can't seem to find anywhere that carries it. Checker gave me some part numbers DR161C, R6003, and Ry-215 but these numbers don't ring up at anywhere like summit or jegs.
where can I find this? the numbers on the relay are 6051 and IEC 20191641
any help is appreciated!

This may sound crazy, but check your battery terminals. If they're loose, it will cause your locks to go nuts.

aiight, I got the door lock relay on order from the chevy dealer, woot woot!
a friend of mine has a huge electric meter that does all kinds of things, he is gonna come over and help me find my electrical drain sometime soon.
I just hope it gets cold enough sometime to test the new relay when it comes in. otherwise, I gotta wait till next winter :-\
