SES Light on dim

Hey all, have a tricky one. The SES light in my 89 Firebird is on dim as though it were only working on 1 volt. You can barely see it during the day and a little bit at night. There are no trouble codes in the system. I know the circcuit completes when the computer switches to ground so it has a constant 12V to the bulb. Other than that at a loss. Anyone seen this before?

what car is it on. It could be one strand of the braided wire connecting to ground somewhere on its path to the ECM.
