Tach quit working

Tach quit working
Just noticed this evening while I was showing a friend my car,the tach quit working,its stuck at about 1500,It was working fine.
earlier i unplugged a connector by the battery while the cvar was running,engine died,but started right back up,could I have blown something by doing that?
Pleae excuse my ignorance,just getting into this Third Gen stuff,I'm a reformed Mustang owner from 20 years ago..LOL
