GTA hatch lock?
Hi there, my GTA is currently missing the lock assembly that goes on the rear hatch
. I was wondering if there was such way to pop the hatch with out the lock inside?...Also to get to my point, this car is equipped with the power hatch release. it seems to be shot and probably needs a fuse replacement. WHERE IS THE FUSE FOR THE HATCH! LOL... i cannot find it for some reason
... if you guys can help me resolve this issue i'd be thankful...

hatched
There is a separate 15 AMP fuse for the hatch pull down unit. There are two wires that are atttached to it one I know is RED & WHITE and the other I think is all RED. The fuse is not on the main fuse block but in its own holder and is "supposed" to be next to the fuse block it self.
Mine was tucked up by the brake pedal because the previous owners of my car were under there alot.
Oh yeah make sure your parking brake is applied or the hatch will not open when you press the button!

If you cant get the parking brake up the hatch will not open. Its a saftey device built in to the circuit, When the lever is pulled up the circuit is completed when the release button is pushed.
You really can't go on with the service manual trouble shooting until you fix the brake. You can try taking your console apart and getting to the parking brake lever wire and use a fused jumper wire to ground and see if the red brake light comes on, then push the hatch release I think you need the key "ON" or "ASSY" too
