Wire Harness Swap
I am trying to swap a 89 camaro 305 tbi into a 85 camaro V6 body. I need help with the wiring harness. Should I modify the 85 harness to fit the computer for the 89? Or move the complete 89 harness over to the 85? If I should move the complete harness over does anyone have an estimate how long it would take? And how difficult it would be? Thanks

honestly the best way to do this swap would be to use the 89 dash, harness, steering column and ecm.....less headaches and can be done in a weekend without hassles.....

Much easier to swap harnesses, although it's still gonna be a big job. Depending on your ability, it could take a week or more. You'll have to swap the underdash harness and the underhood harness that runs through the passenger side. The easiet way to swap them is to remove the entire dash, to allow room to work.
And take your time.
