Fuel Gauge Whackness
So one day I'm sitting there in my car with the engine running... and I look at my fuel gauge and all of a sudden, it slowly starting moving up and it stops pointing straight up. I'm sitting there going... wtf. I push the needle down and it goes right back up... My dad goes, "looks like you're sending died... you're ****ed." I said, no way... I just got finished checking the sender wires... and thiey're good. I even added some gas while the mulitmeter was connected and the ohms rose, so, thank *** my sender is okay. So... this must mean there's a severed wire of somthing of the sort between there and the gauge. My problem is that the sender whire hooks into a mounted harness and thing and I don't know where to locate the wires to go to the gauges, or where they're routed. Can anyone tell my where these wires are routed so I can find them and inspect them?

They are under the carpeting that runs under the rear seats. The sender is connected to a body unit that is attached in the middle of the gas tank hump on the inside of the car, just above the driveshaft tunnel. You will have to remove at least the center console, the rear seats, the rear paneling, flip up the hatch carpeting, and possibly the radio pod if the car is a Firebird. From there, I don't know where the wiring goes, but others who have had to replace a heater core or something back behind the dash may.
