i have remote locks and start on my car...when i do any of the three....lock/unlock/start it use to blink the marker lights accordingly. it stopped today for some reason yet everything else works fine. any ideas of what to check?

 

did you install the alarm? if so, i have no clue, whatever wires go to the lighting system, if ot, take it back to the place that installed it, those things are way to complicated to troubleshoot, third thing, did you buy the car w/allarm allready installed? if so your screwed, my .02

 

so what your saying is you have no clue.

 

Look for a splice into the wires that run the lights. That connection might be loose. If its not that theres either a loose connection at the box or a short in the box.

 

that's kind of what i figured unless the box itself went out....just curious if anyone had any quick suggestions like that to go over. sometimes when your trying to look you can overlook trying to hard.

 

I installed my alarm myself and i had the same problem a few months ago, there's a white wire (it may be brown, it's been a while) above the drivers foot coming out of the main harness connection (the one that goes through the firewall). Your alarms wire most likely lost it's connection to that one.
