Painless Wiring Products

My car has some wiring problems, (was hacked into) and I am looking to re-wire the whole car. I want to get the TPI harness, and then a kit for the car.

I am thinking that I should get the 18 circuit kit because then I can add whatever I want. BUT, how would I wire the hatch release button, and some other things not *standard* on other cars?

BTW, I have an 86 IROC, 305 TPI

Also, is there anything that tells me what my car has? Like options and such? I think thats what is under the console lid, are there any decoders available?

thanks for the RPO decoder, does anyone have any ifo on the wiring/electronics?

I just had another thought, would it be easier to convert to Autometer guages if I use the painless harness? Using something like Corvans Classics adapters?
